Who is responsible for the information
Form & Figure is run by Mike Melling in Greater Manchester. Questions about this notice or the handling of your information can be sent to mike@mikemelling.com.
What the website collects
If you submit an enquiry, the website collects the name, business name, email address and message you provide. It may also record which page, demo, campaign or type of service led to the enquiry so Mike can respond in context. The contact form uses a short-lived, necessary server session to limit repeated automated submissions.
The website also counts a small set of actions such as opening a demo, selecting a review or successfully sending an enquiry. These measurements record the action, page and general source. Tagged outreach links may also record a campaign, batch and company-level prospect reference so interest can be understood in context. They do not store the visitor’s name, email address, IP address, browser identifier or advertising cookie.
Why the information is used
The information is used to respond to your request, discuss a potential project, prepare a review or proposal and keep a record of relevant project conversations. It is not used to add you to a marketing list or make automated decisions about you.
The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract and, where appropriate, the legitimate interest in responding to genuine business enquiries and maintaining proportionate business records.
Who receives it
Enquiries are sent through the website and email hosting services used by Form & Figure. Information is not sold. It is shared only where necessary to operate those services, obtain professional advice, deliver an agreed project or comply with a legal obligation.
How long it is kept
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage a potential project and maintain necessary business records. Information that is no longer relevant is periodically reviewed and deleted. Contract, invoice or legal records may need to be retained for longer.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact Mike using the address above to make a request.
You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Project files and sensitive information
Do not send sensitive, confidential, medical, employee or customer data with an initial website enquiry. If a project proceeds, the information required, transfer method, access, hosting, retention and deletion arrangements will be agreed before files are shared.
Changes to this notice
This notice will be reviewed when the website, enquiry process or supporting services change.
